Def.: Mauer: von dem lat. Wort "murus" stammend, ein massiver freistehender Baukörper in Form einer Wandscheibe aus Bausteinen, die übereinander greifend, d.h. im Mauerverband aufgebaut sind.
Konfrontiert mit der Mauer, sehen wir uns konfrontiert mit Fragen des Innen und Außen, des Hier und Dort, des Wir und des Anderen, der Ein- und Ausgrenzung.
Eine Mauer als einfaches Konstrukt sowohl zeichnerisch als auch architektonisch definierbar, ermöglicht es uns in erster Linie doch nur einen fiktiven Blick dahinter zu werfen, bis zu dem Zeitpunkt der Entfernung selbiger, ab dann Fiktion mit Realität konfrontiert wird.
Dies wirft nicht nur Fragen sozialer, sowie politischer Realitäten mit all seinen Konsequenzen auf, sondern konfrontiert uns in erster Linie auch mit dem eigenen Selbst in Bezug auf Systeme des territorialen Seins und der Eigendefinition.
Die Kamera wird auf das Rad montiert. Ich radle entlang der Wände, strategischer Befestigungs-Architekturen.

Confronted with the wall. we are confronted with questions of the Inside and Outside, the Here and There, the We and the Others, the Inclusion and the Segregation.
The wall, a construct, definable by drawing and architecture, solemnly enables a fictionary glance beyond it, up to the moment of removal of such, when fiction is confronted with reality.
This throws upon questions of social and political realities with all its consequences, and above all confronts us with our own Self in relation to systems of territorial being and self-definition.
The camera is mounted onto the bicycle. I cycle along strategical relevant wall-architectures.
