der Abstraktion im Konkreten, im Gegenständlichen und im narrativen Film.
“Das ist zum Beispiel dann, wenn im Verlauf der Handlung des Filmes plötzlich die Mechanik des Kinos sichtbar wird und die Form und Bewegung den Sinn und Inhalt einer Handlung überlagert. Mein größtes Interesse gilt diesem kurzen Moment, wo beides sichtbar ist.
Wir machen seit Jahren partizipative Projekte - vor allem (Trick-)Filme mit Leuten die keine FilmemacherInnen und die eigentlich an ganz anderen Dingen interessiert sind. Dadurch komme ich mir und vor allem meiner Arbeit immer auf andere Art und Weise näher.”

"This is, for example, when in the course of the film's plot the mechanics of cinema suddenly become visible and form and movement override the meaning and content of an action. My greatest interest is in that brief moment when both are visible.
We have been making participatory projects for years - especially (animated) films with people who are not filmmakers and who are actually interested in completely different things. This always brings me closer to myself and especially to my work in a different way."
